Matthew Perry’s ex claims late actor ‘superglued’ his hands to stop taking drugs: ‘It was desperately sad’

Matthew Perry’s former girlfriend, Kayti Edwards, has made shocking claims about the late star’s struggles with drug addiction. Edwards, who dated Perry in 2006 and later worked as his assistant, revealed that Perry once glued his hands to his knees in a desperate attempt to stop himself from taking more drugs. She recalled visiting him at his home during the height of his addictions and finding him in a bad state after a night of drug use. Edwards had to use nail polish remover and olive oil to free Perry from the painful position.

According to Edwards, the aftermath of the incident was terrible, with them having to forcefully remove the hair from Perry’s legs, leaving behind red and raw patches. This is not the first time that Edwards has spoken out about Perry’s addiction problems. In a previous interview, she claimed that Perry used her to obtain drugs like cocaine, heroin, and crack, even when she was pregnant.

Just last month, Edwards raised doubts about the cause of Perry’s death. Perry was found dead in his hot tub in October at the age of 54. Edwards questioned whether his death was accidental, suggesting that he may have taken pills leading up to it.

Unfortunately, an autopsy report confirmed that Perry died from the acute effects of ketamine. The report also listed drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine as contributing factors.

Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the hit TV series “Friends,” had battled addiction for years. He discussed his struggles in his memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir,” where he revealed spending around $9 million in an attempt to stay sober. A publicist for Perry did not respond to requests for comment.
